Together with our partner, the Rudolfo ice cream parlour, which is located right next to the castle grounds, we welcomed many visitors. They stopped by our stand and let themselves be transported back to a bygone era – the time of the ancient gods.

We have our ‘Gods Memory’ game for young and old alike. Everyone asks themselves the same question: where can they find the matching pairs of gods? In the process, their knowledge of the ancient gods is refreshed and cheerful laughter rings out across the square.

Alongside this, our Viking face-painting provides plenty of creative ideas and, of course, makes eyes light up. And it’s not just the children who enjoy it – many adults also want to be painted to match the festival.

Meanwhile, Franziska enchants visitors with mystical harp music, setting the perfect mood for the festivities.

And so the eventful days fly by, filled with many interesting conversations and new encounters. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who dropped by to see us!

A special thank you goes to Eiscafé Rudolfo for their support and for providing delicious and refreshing refreshments on site – which were more than welcome in the summer heat.

Our wedding season begins in the merry month of May with a youth initiation ceremony. We are guests of young Bella. In a beautiful ceremony (on the outskirts of Berlin), she is initiated into the secrets of women and introduced to female rites and customs. It is our pleasure to accompany Bella into this new phase of her life. A few days later, we travel to the Black Forest. There, we celebrate Luise and Oliver’s 11th wedding anniversary with them until late into the night.
In May, we are also welcomed to the Dessau-Roßlau moated castle to marry Nadine & Michael in a moving handfasting ceremony. No less romantic is the pagan wedding of Sylvia & Sebastian, which we celebrate at the picturesque Lake Sacrow.

In 2025, the herb women from Eva’s World of Herbs are in demand once again. Each time, they create a cheerful atmosphere and entertainment with their herbal secrets and elixirs. In June, our journey takes us north to the Oldenburg region. Sandra and Florian invite numerous guests to their pagan wedding. It is literally the hottest wedding of the year. First, everyone present can hear the couple’s wedding vows in bright sunshine and scorching heat. And as befits the summer solstice, the day ends later with an impressive torchlight procession and a magical flame celebration.

After a short break, we experience the very cheerful handfasting of Evelin & David in the harvest month. All kinds of guests dressed in medieval clothing attend this heartfelt ceremony in Guben. We dance the night away with the cheerful wedding party before this night also ends with a magnificent flame celebration. In mid-August, we will meet Julia and Christian in Leipzig to seal their marital bliss. It will be a truly glorious day. On the one hand, because the two lovers are beaming with joy and, on the other hand, because it is the 200th event for us at eheleite.com. So it’s a day that needs to be celebrated twice over!

And just as our wedding season begins this year, so it ends – with a youth initiation ceremony near Eberswalde. We organise a ceremony for Jeremy-Dean that is just as exciting for us. It is our first youth initiation ceremony for a young lad. Surrounded by his friends and under the watchful eyes of the gods, J. D. masters all the challenges and emerges victorious.

Since 2006, we have met countless warm-hearted people. We are guests at old castles, palaces and mills. Private estates, forests, meadows, stone circles and other beautiful natural locations have also provided the backdrop for our marriage ceremonies, Viking weddings and medieval weddings. Name ceremonies, youth ceremonies, sword ceremonies, youth ceremonies, birthday celebrations and flame ceremonies also become unforgettable memories.
Many a diary page is filled with funny anecdotes or exciting wedding adventures. We fondly remember every single ceremony, but some remain particularly special in our memories. For example, the first events are always great highlights for us too.

Let us think back to our first naming ceremony. We held this ceremony for Arthur in 2012. We are honoured when we are asked to organise several events for families. This has led to many wonderful connections over the last few years. We remember Rita and Björn’s wedding in 2011 at Bellin Castle and the naming ceremonies for their sons Thilo and Thore in 2014 and 2021. Arthur and his siblings Leni, Friedrich and Thorwie also always bring a smile to our faces.
Far to the east, we were guests of the lovely Fabienne and her siblings Frieda Johanna and Karl Friedrich. Here we were able to perform our first youth initiation ceremony for a girl. And we can already see the images of the first youth initiation ceremony for a boy before our eyes – JD, who masterfully passed his tests and stepped away from the ceremony site as a young man.

We also remember the many pagan birthday celebrations, such as at Jeannette’s in Hemslingen or at Maik’s in Komotau, Czech Republic. There, in December 2023, the Snow Queen Skadi presented us with her snow-covered kingdom, which will remain in our memories forever.

Of course, we also wave to our numerous bridal couples. You were the original inspiration for what we do. We will never forget the pure romance of Silke & Mike (Krämerwald), the shanty choirs at Cora & Bernd’s (Mölln), Astrid & Carsten’s carriage ride and the love between Carmen & Mats (Germanisches Langhaus). Viki & Moritz (Lindwerder), Francis & Marko (Suhl), Shirin & Alain (Basel), Daniela & René (100th wedding anniversary), Stefanie & Maik (Großrückerswalde), Jennifer & Michael (Linz), Marlen & Frank (Helmsdorf), Karin & Danielo (Weidegut Colmnitz), Katharina & Christian (Burg Lindenfels), Yvonne & André (Bärenklau), Juliane & Sebastian (Buck’sche Schweiz), Sonja & Michael (Münchsmünster) will remain in our hearts forever.

We would love to list all our bridal couples here, because it was both a pleasure and an honour to get to know you. But writing down all our wonderful memories here would take days 🙂

One thing is certain, however: celebrating, laughing and dancing with you is what motivates us to organise future events. That’s why we hope to see some of you again at an anniversary celebration. With this in mind: see you soon!

Just as we are now enjoying the new awakening of nature, we are also looking forward to our new wedding season. We are eagerly awaiting the new wedding year. In 2025, we want to celebrate 2 youth consecrations with you, guide 5 couples in love into marriage and celebrate a 10-year wedding anniversary. We are already looking forward to the popular torch dances and magical flame celebrations. And our herb women will also be making their magic remedies for you again and providing great entertainment.

In autumn, we celebrated a great party as eheleite.com ourselves. It was our spokesperson Saskia’s birthday. She invited us to her pagan rebirth party. On the picturesque banks of the Alster, we were delighted to host the magical ceremony for our friend and give her our best wishes for the rest of her life.

So you could already see the couples in love in the first part of the year in review. And – as promised – we are now showing you the second part of our year 2024.
We look back with joy on Fabienne’s youth dedication, Eila’s youth consecration and Matthew’s name consecration. It fills us with pride every time you entrust your little ones to us. Together with you, we are happy to accompany them as they embark on new and exciting stages in their lives.

This year, we had the honour of marrying nine couples in love according to the old tradition. Among them were Jacqueline and Michael, who proved that you can still be happy and in love even after 25 years of marriage. The renewal of their wedding vows is a truly beautiful sign in these fast-moving times and a worthwhile goal for all newlyweds.

In spring, we were delighted to meet two young girls again. First of all, Fabienne invited us to celebrate her youth celebration with her. In a moving ceremony, she was initiated into the secrets of women and introduced to female rites and customs. A few days later, we were guests of Eila. We already knew her from her name consecration in 2018. The once so bright little lady has now grown into a cheerful young girl. We have accompanied her into the next exciting stage of her life with a cheerful youth consecration. We also have fond memories of Matthew, who received all four elements with an open mind at his naming ceremony and whose task is now to keep these elemental forces in constant balance henceforth.

The herb women from Eva’s Kräuterwelt were also there again this year and provided lots of fun and entertainment. What magical moments we experienced once more! Our torch dances, flame celebrations and sword consecrations brought unforgettable goosebump moments.

In autumn, our spokeswoman Saskia shed all her unflattering attributes during her traditional rebirth party. And on the mystical banks of the Alster, surrounded by her friends, she began a new year of life.

It was a pleasure for us to visit you in Brandenburg, Saxony, Thuringia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Bavaria, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Lower Saxony, Berlin and Hamburg. We enjoyed organising your parties for you and celebrating with you.

According to Celtic tradition, this is the time of Samhain. A time period of peace and silence, moments to remember the dead, to honour heroes and to say goodbye. People say farewell to the old year, to all the past things and bad habits, in order to prepare for the new year.

And so, dear friends and readers of Eheleite.com, we too are slowly saying goodbye to this old year in order to start afresh in the following spring.

We will start in April with a secret wedding ceremony in Brandenburg and then look forward to seeing Fabienne and her family again in Upper Lusatia. Our preparations for her youth consecration are already in full swing.

We have been guests in Brandenburg, Bavaria, Lower Saxony, Baden-Württemberg, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, Austria and the Czech Republic. We meet our bridal couples in historic mills, on lush green meadows and hills surrounded by nature or even in the snow-covered winter kingdom of the Snow Queen.

But regardless of whether in a mill, the rustic ambience of a Germanic longhouse, the garden at home or outside in the great outdoors: the very special flair of a marriage ceremony is only created by the people who celebrate this day together!

We fondly remember our herb women, who chat about all kinds of magic remedies and provide a lot of fun and entertainment. We will never forget the three sword consecrations, the many torch dances and evening flame celebrations that crown the successful festivals each time.

The naming ceremonies are special highlights for us. It fills us with pride when we see familiar faces again and these former bridal couples entrust us with their little darlings. This year, for example, the children Björn, Mara and the two siblings Juna and Talvi experience their pagan baptism. They are given the qualities of earth, water, air and fire. We give the four young baptizands all our good wishes and the blessing of the old gods on their journey through life.

In the deepest snow, in a dreamlike snow-covered landscape, Maik sheds all his unfavourable characteristics on his 44th birthday and during a traditional rebirth festival he begins a new phase of his life surrounded by his friends.

For us, this marks the end of this fantastic wedding season. This year we have welcomed eleven bridal couples, four baptizands and the reborn Maik into our hearts. We hope that everyone who was there will always have fond memories of the day!

We are already looking forward to next year and hope the people will be just as friendly and cheerful as the ones we met this year. For a few weeks, you can marvel at all the highlights of 2023 here once again.

This is the forest in which most of the German fairy tales take place – which have been written down by the Brothers Grimm. This is the haunted forest. This is the forest in which one likes to get lost. This is the forest in which it is good to live (not only in the gingerbread house)!

In addition to our myths and fairy tales, ancient, friendly trees and natural beings like the dryads live here. The dryads are tree spirits, nymphs of the oak trees – living beings like you and me. It is only because modern mankind ignores natural beings that they believe they should simply be killed or driven away. Quite simply because a few other people in the state parliament of Hesse decide this! For them, trees are not living things, simply just objects.

Dryads, like all nymphs, are supernaturally long-living, but tied to their dwellings. It is so that with the death of the tree, its tree nymph also dies. For this reason, the nymphs, dryads, tree spirits, and the pagan gods punished any mortal who injured a tree without first calling, sacrificing, or relocating the tree nymphs.

The tree nymphs are the daughters of the forest spirit. Many of them have been handed down by name to this day: Aigeiros, Ampelos, Balanos, Daphne, Karya, Kraneia, Orea, Ptelea or Syke. The daughters of the forest spirit are the guardian spirits of the trees. We know: Aigeiros for the black poplar, Bacchus for the grapevine, Daphne for the laurel, Karya for the nut tree, Kraneia for the cornel cherry, Orea for the black mulberry tree and for the wild olive tree, Ptelea for the mountain elm and Syke for the fig tree.

Despite all confusion, we are happy and confident that our marriage year can start again soon. We are particularly looking forward to our second youth celebration, which will take place in June on the edge of the beautiful Harz.

We look forward to very special experiences during our visits to Bavaria, Saxony, Lower Saxony, Baden-Württemberg and Saxony-Anhalt. For our wedding in Rhineland-Palatinate, our bridal couple Rebecca and Oliver had chosen the memorable date 02.02.20. This beautiful wedding is already behind us and came just in time before the “shutdown”. So you did a great job!

In June it will go on again – if the gods want. We will celebrate our ancient rites with you and solemnise the festivals and pagan customs together with you. And for all bridal couples who now had to postpone their celebrations with us: postponed is not canceled! We will see you later this year or 2021!

We meet our newlyweds on historic manors and in romantic parks. According to the old tradition, we lead Julia & Andrej and Julia & Bastian into marriage. Beatrice & Marco can also be reconnected, and our herbal women ensure lots of fun and entertainment.

In late summer we are guests in the Germanic Longhouse in Krügersdorf even twice. Here Natascha & Stefan and Ute & Thomas promise eternal love. In an old wedding rite, bridal gifts are handed over symbolically. Two sword consecrations and an evening flame celebration top the successful parties.

We also like to remember the three name celebrations. First Freyja Elisabeth, then Aurora Anastina and Thorwie are thereby given the properties of earth, water, air and fire. We give the three young women good wishes on their journey through life.

During her traditional New Born Festival, Inga separates from all unfavorable qualities and begins a new year of life in the midst of her friends.

In autumn we are longing for the distance. We are thrilled to be in Canada at the Niagara Falls, where the roaring forces of nature are witnessing the marriage vows of Valérie and Jean-Phillip.

At the end of the season we marry Antonella & Sandro on the snow-white Caribbean beach of Mexico. At our 111th marriage, mystical Mayan dances and rituals are incorporated into our ceremony. Everyone is deeply impressed by the combination of two pagan rituals – and so we celebrate barefoot in the sand until late in the evening.

It was a pleasure for us again to organise your celebrations for you and to party with you. For a while there will be all the bridal couples, baptizands and clippings of the sword consecration once more.
