You can feel the zest for action everywhere. That’s how it is with us, too. We are eagerly awaiting the new wedding season with great excitement and anticipation. Whether it’s a pagan wedding, a Viking wedding, handfasting or a youth initiation ceremony – there will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate again this year. We are happy to come to Brandenburg, Saxony, Lower Saxony, Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, East Frisia and Bavaria for you.

In the merry month of May, we will start with a celebration of our 5th wedding anniversary. Shortly afterwards, we look forward to seeing Pauline and her family again. Our preparations for her youth initiation ceremony have already begun. But we are just as excited about this year’s bridal couples. Together with you and your guests, we will experience very special moments and create memories that will last a lifetime.

On our schedule, you can see that events have already been booked for I2026 well into the autumn. However, if you would like to make a last-minute enquiry, please feel free to do so. The couple already tied the knot in a civil ceremony this morning. However, they want to celebrate their heart’s desire – a traditional wedding – today with a proper Viking wedding.

After our bride and groom have warmly welcomed their guests, the sacred ceremony begins in the early afternoon.

Under bright sunshine and a deep blue sky, Julia and Christian walk through the specially erected archway. During the ceremony, the couple cleanses themselves of all mutual prejudices. In this way, they voluntarily sever all old ties and then embark on the path to a life together. In the birch-lined bridal temple, Julia and Christian promise each other eternal fidelity and devotion. As an outward sign of their marital bliss, they will now wear their wedding rings. Their mutual vows are joyfully heard by the witnesses Danny and Carsten and warmly applauded by all the guests. During the traditional millet throwing, everyone present wishes the bride and groom material prosperity and financial blessings.

In the wildlife park restaurant, the wedding party then enjoys coffee, cake and cool drinks. Afterwards, eheleite.com invites everyone to dance. With our rousing dances, it only takes a few moments for the open-air dance floor to fill up. Time flies by with the Holsteiner Dreitour, the Chapelloise or the Russian Troika.

As the last rays of sunshine fade later on, everyone looks forward to the bonfire celebration that is still to come.
Dear bride and groom: It was wonderful to spend this special day with you. It was an honour to celebrate your wedding and experience our 200th event. We hope that you and your guests enjoyed this day as much as we did. We wish you all the best for the future and a lifetime of happiness together!

In the glow of the warming fire and the blazing torches, the ancient legend of the eternal cycle of the sun resounds. Immediately the whole company feels the magic of the flames and feels as if they have been transported back to a time long past.

During the consecration ceremony that follows, the sixteen Valkyries transfer the desired attributes to Sebastian’s sword: “Ostara”. From that moment on, it serves its bearer whenever he needs it. By the old gods, Sebastian vows to always use the blade wisely. To confirm his vow, he sacrifices a part of himself. To the utter amazement of his beloved Justine, he cuts off his braid and gives it as an offering – to the all-consuming fire. Sebastian promises: My sword belongs for all times to the Old Gods and the Great Mother, who is the oldest and wisest.

After many poignant moments, we say goodbye to Justine & Sebastian and thank them for the wonderful time. May the benevolence of our Gods always be on your side!

Apropos – Brandenburg State, we will be guests here more often this year and will escort a few more bridal couples into marriage. But as beautiful as Brandenburg is, we look forward just as much to our brides and grooms in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony. In autumn, our path will even lead us to Austria. There – high up on an alpine hut in Salzburg State – we will perform a pagan marriage ceremony for Tini and Fabian.

You see, our planning is complete and the preparations are now in full swing. All fixed dates can be found in our date list.

Next to the handfasting, the spiritual wedding in the temple of matrimony is probably the most intimate and moving moment of the ceremony. During this time, not only the two bodies, but also the two sparks of life are interwoven. It is the true bond of love, because in this way the bride and groom remain connected even beyond death.

For this intimate moment, the bridal couple enters the specially prepared wedding temple. It is protected by a circle of fire and reserved exclusively for the two lovers. So close together, they promise each other things they feel for each other deep in their hearts. This creates an invisible yet real existing bond that welds the bridal couple together forever.

In the past years we have witnessed many beautiful vows. We have now compiled some of them for you. Please have a look at our small selection.

And in us, too, the zest for action is awakening and with it the preparations for our new wedding season! We have already met some bridal couples and thus got to know each other personally.

We are therefore looking at our calendar full of euphoria and optimism. We are looking forward to this year’s marriage ceremonies, life festivals, name consecrations and flame celebrations. Even our herb women come by for a chat and bring all kinds of useful things from their herb garden. Let us surprise you with the garden fruits they have in store for beauty and love.

To celebrate the old pagan rites and customs with you (also in the year I2022), we will be very happy to come to you and your guests in Brandenburg, Berlin, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, Baden-Wuerttemberg and Switzerland.

We are already looking forward to meeting many new people. Of course, everything has already been planned and agreed with us for I2022. In the beautiful month of May, Franziska and Robert from Lübben asked the old gods for bliss and permission for their pagan marriage ceremony. Happiness and joy set in at the midnight hour, when all friends present were allowed to witness the holy marriage.

And what did we do on the day of the summer solstice? On this venerable date we were together with Juliane and Sebastian in one of the most beautiful places we have probably ever held a marriage ceremony. The Irminsul was enthroned high above on the rocks of Buck’s Switzerland. There it watched over the ceremony and over the bridal couple in love. Look at the beautiful pictures!

In August we were invited to Nicole and Dirk in Lower Saxony. We have been closely connected with them for many years and have now been able to guide their eldest daughter Leni into a new phase of her life. Leni had a lot of fun at her youth celebration, but also learned a wisdom for life. When she shared her prizes with the friends, she noticed: gifts bring joy – regardless of whether you give or take them!

And also in September we met dear acquaintances. It was a special honour for us to be able to reconnect Rita and Björn for their tin anniversary. Having married the two of them in full love 10 years before, we were delighted to have a really warm and heartfelt reunion. The day in the far north was littered with highlights, as the second-born son Thore also received his name consecration. There under a mighty oak tree – the tree of his patron saint Thor – he was given the four elements of life. The evening finally ended with an impressive torch dance, where the burning torches lit up the night sky.

Shortly after the autumn equinox, Anett and Denis then sealed their bond of life according to old tradition. In the tranquil estate park of Mößlitz manor, everyone could see how the two of them ignited the flame of love with deep affection and affinity.

We would like to thank our bridal couples and their guests, our godchild Thore and the young maid Leni for the wonderful hours we were allowed to spend with you. All these moments give us strength and courage for the time to come.

In our regions we celebrate this time with the Ostara Festival. A festival in honour of the spring and fertility goddess Ostara (also Eostre). The young goddess of spring is often seen accompanied by the rabbit, which is another symbol of fertility and reproduction. Just like the (Easter) eggs symbolise the developing life.
Today’s Easter celebrations therefore undoubtedly have ancient, pagan roots.
With this in mind, we salute the great goddess!

November is traditionally a time of peace and quiet – a month to commemorate the dead and to worship heroes.

In Celtic customs, the Samhain festival is celebrated for this. However, it is not a festival day in the sense of other holidays, but a process that extends over several days (half a lunar period). This period of time serves to gradually (but definitively and inexorably) say goodbye to the old year and old things and to prepare for the new year.

On the ghost nights between Samhain full moon and Samhain new moon, scary masks are used and noise and fireworks are held to drive away evil spirits, but also bad habits and undesirable events.

If you look at mother nature, you can see that the old vegetation year ends, the life and growth period is over now. But life only seems to go out, because in its natural rhythm it secretly prepares for a new beginning in spring. And so, dear friends and readers of Eheleite.com, we too are slowly saying goodbye to this old year in order to start again in the coming spring.

So we celebrated the beginning of summer about 7 weeks ago with a magical solstice fire.

Tomorrow’s full moon will mark the first Celtic harvest festival called Lughnasa. Although this festival is associated with the fire god Loki (Lugh) nowadays, the original background is slightly different.

10,500 years ago, the stars shined differently than they do today … we wise women ruled our small villages, and men, women, children and old people lived in peace and harmony with one another.

Naturally, the sanctity of nature was worshiped. In this way the Corn Mother was shown honor, great respect and the appropriate offerings with every sowing and harvest. One worked and lived in harmony with nature and in mutual consultation with the Great Goddess – who shows herself to us as the Corn Mother with sickle in these days.

Today, however, we have to witness how rampant their sacred territories are sullied and desecrated. We still recognize the beauty and grace, the wildness and the control of the Corn Mother. Her beautiful red-golden hair, the ripe cornfield that the wind plays with, the field of grain that waves and sways with the airflow. The red and gold mane whose mowing brings us the bread.

With the sickle in her hand, she, also known as the reaper, Sif, Baba Yaga or Mati Syra Zemlya, severs and cuts what has to be separated and cut up. At the full moon we want to make an offering as a sign that we respect and regard the Great Corn Mother.

Great Corn Mother, accept these offerings from the hands of those who have come together on the Old Way of their own free will and always welcome us in your forests, corridors, fields, meadows and other domains: feed and provide for us!

We meet our newlyweds on historic manors and in romantic parks. According to the old tradition, we lead Julia & Andrej and Julia & Bastian into marriage. Beatrice & Marco can also be reconnected, and our herbal women ensure lots of fun and entertainment.

In late summer we are guests in the Germanic Longhouse in Krügersdorf even twice. Here Natascha & Stefan and Ute & Thomas promise eternal love. In an old wedding rite, bridal gifts are handed over symbolically. Two sword consecrations and an evening flame celebration top the successful parties.

We also like to remember the three name celebrations. First Freyja Elisabeth, then Aurora Anastina and Thorwie are thereby given the properties of earth, water, air and fire. We give the three young women good wishes on their journey through life.

During her traditional New Born Festival, Inga separates from all unfavorable qualities and begins a new year of life in the midst of her friends.

In autumn we are longing for the distance. We are thrilled to be in Canada at the Niagara Falls, where the roaring forces of nature are witnessing the marriage vows of Valérie and Jean-Phillip.

At the end of the season we marry Antonella & Sandro on the snow-white Caribbean beach of Mexico. At our 111th marriage, mystical Mayan dances and rituals are incorporated into our ceremony. Everyone is deeply impressed by the combination of two pagan rituals – and so we celebrate barefoot in the sand until late in the evening.

It was a pleasure for us again to organise your celebrations for you and to party with you. For a while there will be all the bridal couples, baptizands and clippings of the sword consecration once more.
