It is the beginning of autumn – the time when day and night are of equal length. It is the time of the year when people begin to reflect. Traditions, festivals and customs become the focus of everyday life again.<\/p>\n

It is precisely at this time that Isabell and Martin invite their family and friends to the Upper Lusatian Schlechteberg. Here today, according to ancient custom, we perform the pagan baptism for daughter Frieda Johanna.<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, the guests eagerly listen to the meaning of the name of the 7-month-old child to be baptised. In addition, Frieda are given all 4 elements. She cheerfully accepts the qualities of earth, water, air and fire and will keep these primal forces in constant balance with each other.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, the proud parents bring their treasure gifts and good wishes for the future. The godparents vow to always stand by her side whenever Frieda needs them in her life. Finally, the name rune Fehu is lit and all the guests gather for a joint photo under the shining symbol.<\/p>\n
