So far, spring has truly not spoiled us with warmth and sunshine. Instead, it has been frosty cold or raining cats and dogs. But now, at last, nature is turning a soft green and the golden spring sun is beaming down on us from the blue sky. Birds are chirping their songs in the young leaves of the trees.<\/p>\n

We meet our bride and groom Ina and Matthias in the Germanic Longhouse<\/a> in Kr\u00fcgersdorf. Here they are joining hands today to tie the knot according to ancient custom.<\/p>\n

Moved by his feelings, the father of the bride leads his daughter Ina to the place of marriage. There, waiting at the bridal arch, Matthias receives his beloved.<\/p>\n

Happily, both walk arm in arm down the torch-lit aisle and enter the ceremony site. Together with family and friends they listen to the old myths and traditions.<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, Ina and Matthias purify themselves of all things that cling to them from the past. They detach themselves from all false promises, from all old and new curses and enter the new stage of their lives completely pure and unsullied (purification ceremony).<\/p>\n

The goddess W\u00f6r, the guardian of all oaths and vows is invoked. In the presence of all those present, the bride and groom pledge their fidelity to each other, and the goddess witnesses this sacred oath. A stone serves as a symbol for this oath, and in future it will be given a special place in the bridal couple’s home. This stone reminds them every day of the promise they have made.<\/p>\n

In the early evening, the first delicate crescent of the still young moon appears in the beginning night sky. We invite you to a mystical torchlight dance, which leads directly into a flame celebration at the end of this wonderful day. We gather around the blazing fire of the burning runes and enjoy the magical atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Dear Ina, dear Matthias: It was a great pleasure for us to conduct your marriage ceremony. We wholeheartedly wish you all the best and a happy, loving life together. May the benevolence of the old gods always be at your side.<\/p>\n
