We are always happy to be guests in the region between Borna and Chemnitz. We have already been able to dispose of several happy couples in marriage here. And so it is today – we celebrate the pagan marriage ceremony with Sandra and Hendrik. It gives us great pleasure to host their special day, because for us this day is just as special. After all, it’s not every day that you celebrate a Celtic wedding with 180 guests!<\/p>\n

After a cool welcome drink, friends and family await our bride and groom at the ceremony site. At the time of the midday sun, the pagan marriage ceremony begins according to ancient custom and tradition. Sandra and Hendrik promise each other eternal faithfulness and solidarity. After the gods of all four directions have given their consent to the marriage, the climax of the ceremony follows – the traditional joining of the bridal couple.<\/p>\n

During the so-called handfasting, the priestess joins the bride and groom with the wedding ribbon, and the priest couple gives their blessing to the newly emerging union. Just as the sun, wind, earth and water belong together forever, so too does the ribbon consecrated to the elements weld our couple together for all time to come.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by the rustic bagpipe sounds of the Ohrenpeyn minstrels<\/a>, the happy couple leave the festival ground. All the guests rise from their seats – cheering and congratulating the newlyweds. In the late afternoon, many more guests join the celebrating party and eheleite.com invites them to dance. The wedding party enjoys itself happily and exuberantly to the medieval melodies.<\/p>\n

As the stars then twinkle in the evening sky, another great moment of this wedding day follows – an impressive torch dance. The fire dragon made of more than 200 burning torches roams the night. Through the final torchlight parade, Sandra and Hendrik now walk towards their future together.<\/p>\n
