On this beautiful May weekend, our route takes us to Central Saxony.
\nThe gently rolling hills of the Lommatzscher Pflege region lie around 50 kilometres north-west of Dresden. Here, on the edge of this landscape characterised by fields and farmland, we meet our bridal couple in the tranquil Noschkowitz Forest.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Ines and Uwe have been married in a civil ceremony since last autumn. However, it is essential for them to receive the blessing of the old gods for their union, too.<\/p>\n

They are therefore celebrating their pagan wedding today with family and friends and are also marrying according to ancient custom.<\/p>\n

Under a blue sky and to the cheerful chirping of birds, our bridal couple walks through the specially erected archway and the wedding ceremony begins. The ceremony site is reminiscent of a sacred grove, which is surrounded by countless time-honoured trees.<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, Ines and Uwe purify themselves of all mutual prejudices. They voluntarily sever all old ties – and then light the flame of love together. From then on, they wear their wedding rings as an outward sign of their marriage bond. Their mutual vows are then warmly and loudly confirmed and cheered by all the guests.<\/p>\n

When the music starts later, it only takes a few moments for the dance floor to fill up. Our medieval dances bring fun and good humour.<\/p>\n

Everyone present can see that Ines and Uwe belong together from now on – just as darkness and firelight are inseparable. At our final flame celebration, a magical atmosphere is created that nobody can escape. The bride and groom light the fire and we murmur stories from times long past.<\/p>\n

Around midnight, this eventful day comes to an end for eheleite.com. However, the happy wedding party continues to celebrate until the early hours of the morning.<\/p>\n
