Today we are guests in the Hunsr\u00fcck. Here, in the wooded hills, between the picturesque Moselle and the old father Rhine, we meet Maike and Alex for their pagan wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n

In mild temperatures, the guests are welcomed with delicious drinks. The joy and excitement for the coming hours is palpable everywhere.<\/p>\n
In the late afternoon, our bridal couple enters the ceremony site and the holy wedding ceremony begins. Four messengers are sent in all compass directions. The messengers ask the gods whether they are in agreement with the marriage of Maike and Alex? The lovers happily hear the divine approval of their spiritual marriage.
\nIn the presence of family, friends and witnesses, Maike and Alex pledge their everlasting fidelity and commitment to each other. But it is not only the promises they make today that will bind them together from now on, their lives will also be forever interwoven by the bridal bond. Maike and Alex leave the square to thunderous cheers and applause. During the traditional millet toss, everyone present wishes the bride and groom material prosperity and financial blessings.<\/p>\n
After dinner, our rousing dances are very popular with young and old alike. The parquet floor fills up in no time and the wedding party celebrates exuberantly.<\/p>\n
Darkness falls – and we come together for a mystical torch dance. At the end of the dance, all those present form a torchlight procession and celebrate Maike and Alex once again in style!<\/p>\n
