It’s that time again! There is a celebration from eheleite.com. It’s our Hamburg girl Saskia’s birthday and of course she’s celebrating her pagan rebirth festival with us. She invites us to the north of Germany. The picturesque Henneberg Castle provides the perfect backdrop for our ceremony.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Today, the element of water takes centre stage. Our ceremony site is located directly on the Alster. The funeral barge is placed on a jetty. Hence the burial site merges with the surrounding water! There is magic in the air. Everyone senses that something special is happening at this moment. As the procession of the dead begins, the bells start ringing for several minutes. Saskia is laid out by her four closest friends and appears to be floating on the water. A leaf falls from the tree directly onto the deathbed. The symbols of death appear! The infallible flaming arrows of Grim Reaper sink into the water, and a mystical atmosphere is created.<\/p>\n
Saskia symbolically separates herself from all disadvantageous connections and unfavourable characteristics that are blocking her path to a new beginning. She listens to the good wishes and kind words that her friends give her on her new path in life. At the end of the ceremony, she is led out of the circle by her beloved, so that he may continue to stand by her side.<\/p>\n
The two are also celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this weekend. The rose wedding is therefore another reason to celebrate.
