The last day of the merry month of May shows its enchanting side. With summer temperatures and blue skies, we head to Brandenburg today in a happy mood. Not far from Potsdam and its magnificent palaces, we have an appointment with our bridal couple. Surrounded by the picturesque King’s Forest, the surface of Lake Sacrow gently ripples. Sylvia and Sebastian have chosen this idyllic location for their pagan wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n

The two lovers have been married in a civil ceremony for a few weeks. Now they want to get married in the company of their family and friends according to the old custom.<\/p>\n

Sylvia and Sebastian warmly welcome their guests to the enchanted grounds of the Landleben restaurant<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A few moments later, the couple walk arm in arm through the torchlit corridor and enter the ceremony site. Thus begins the magical wedding ceremony at Lake Sacrow in Potsdam.
\nAccompanied by the romantic sounds of the harp, Sylvia and Sebastian promise each other their mutual love and everlasting fidelity. They voluntarily sever all old ties and set out on the path to a life together. In the bridal temple, they present each other with the symbols of their eternal bond. The handfasting that follows is particularly touching when daughter Ida agrees to her parents’ marriage bond by the laying on of hands. At the end of the ceremony, the wedding vows are warmly and loudly cheered by all those present.<\/p>\n

Before dinner, our herb women chat with the newlyweds and their guests. The mysteries of elixirs for beauty and love in particular create a cheerful atmosphere. The girls from Eva’s world of herbs<\/a> also reveal some of the secrets of the magical plants from the local gardens.<\/p>\n

Later, medieval melodies are played and the dance floor quickly fills up. The cheerful atmosphere with the Holstein Dreitour or the Russian Troika makes the time fly by. <\/p>\n

In the evening we look forward to a torch dance and a flame celebration.<\/p>\n
