Today we are heading to the region northeast of Berlin. Here in the Schorfheide, we meet some familiar faces again. Nestled among many beautiful lakes and surrounded by unspoilt nature, our hosts for today are at home. We already had the pleasure of meeting Justine and Sebastian at their Germanic wedding<\/a> in 2023. But today is all about their firstborn son, Jeremy-Dean. We’re organising a ceremony for him that’s super exciting for us too. We’re looking forward to our first youth initiation ceremony for a young lad. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

J.D. has now grown from a boy into a young man. In accordance with ancient tradition, he is now accepted into the circle of adult men. Together with his mother Justine, he enters the temple of the goddess to make an offering to the Great Mother, who is the eldest and wisest. Here, the young man leaves his childhood behind. Symbolically, he parts with an object from his childhood and is transferred from his mother’s care to his father’s tutelage.<\/p>\n

When he steps out of the temple, a guard of honour made up of axes and swords awaits him. The men of his family and circle of friends form a bridge for him into this new phase of life. At the end of the guard of honour, J.D. is proudly welcomed by his father.<\/p>\n

Since J.D.\u201cs life path is to be characterised by perseverance, strength and self-determination, he can immediately prove these virtues. He competes against his friends in several contests. Here, the gods of thunder and justice are at the boys\u201d side to help them. J.D. masters the tasks with the right amount of strength and accuracy. He shows skill with a bow and arrow, hitting his target with his very first shot.<\/p>\n

Ready to become a courageous member of his family, J.D. lights a torch, thereby declaring his intention to take responsibility for his future actions.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank Jeremy-Dean and his family for this fantastic day. Dear J.D. \u2013 it was an honour to accompany you on this new stage of your life. We wish you all the best for your future. May the ancient gods always protect you.<\/p>\n
