At a name-consecration (also called pagan baptism) the person to be baptized is being brought into contact with all four elements. So it is not only the cleansing water being used, but the gifts and qualities of earth, air and fire are also being bestowed on the young person.<\/p>\n

Friedrich, the 9-month-old child to be baptized, had lots of fun at the ceremony. He welcomed the earthcrumbs, the water splashes and of course the air spirits and gleamed with joy and laughed all of the time. With his joy and happyness Friedrich rocked everyone present and took care of the cheerfulness on his first celebration in life. And when Mama Nicole guided his hand with the torch for him and Friedrich could ignite his own name-rune, it was a touching moment for all of us. From his father, Friedrich received a signet ring with his name-rune Fehu as a present, and godparents and grandparents also handed their gifts to the little sweetheart.<\/p>\n

Mother Nicole invited all guests and us to a piece of homemade cake afterwards, and around 23.00 o’clock we started our way back home in cheerful spirits.<\/p>\n
