Astrid and Carsten have decided to celebrate their pagan marriage at the winter solstice in the Germanic Longhouse in Kr\u00fcgersdorf near the Brandenburgian Beeskow.<\/p>\n

We from eheleite.com know the place Beeskow already from Anika’s and Michael’s wedding<\/a> at Beeskow Castle at the summer solstice in 2015, where our bridal couple from today also counted to the guests.<\/p>\n

Astrid’s and Carsten’s wedding day begins with a carriage ride from the Germanic Longhouse to the town hall in Beeskow, where the civil marriage takes place. Afterwards it goes back to the Germanic Longhouse to welcome the guests.<\/p>\n

On the sunny but icy afternoon of the winter solstice day, the pagan marriage and spiritual wedding of Astrid and Carsten takes place. Family and friends attend the ceremony and testify their approval and their favour of the emerging bond. Daughter Tamara puts her hand onto the knotted bridal ribbon and in this way agrees to the marriage covenant of her parents in an especially heartfelt way.<\/p>\n

After the ceremony, a festive wedding feast takes place for the wedding party in the Germanic Longhouse. The minstrels of Wolgemut<\/a> provide atmosphere and musical entertainment during the medieval feast.<\/p>\n

Later in the evening, after dusk, the wedding party gets together for a mystic torch dance, which leads into a flame celebration. In the glow of the fire the bridal couple and their guests listen to the ancient myths and legends.<\/p>\n

The flame celebration finds its end in a sword consecration for Carsten’s self-forged sword. Astrid and Carsten celebrate with their guests until late into the night.<\/p>\n
