Today we are visiting Pauline and her family in Zwickau, Saxony. We have shared many special moments with this lovely family over the past 10 years. We fondly recall Pauline’s parents Maik and Stefanie’s wedding ceremony in 2016, or look back on Maik’s pagan birthday celebration in snow-covered Chomutov. We have already created many lasting memories together. That is why we are delighted to be part of another special day.
And so today we are conducting a beautiful ceremony for Pauline. The little girl from back then is gradually growing into an enchanting young woman. A new and groundbreaking phase of life lies ahead of her. We would now like to accompany Pauline as she takes her first steps.
The time has come to welcome Pauline into the circle of women according to ancient tradition. Her coming-of-age ceremony begins with a sacred consecration rite. Together with her mother Stefanie, she walks through a decorated archway of willow branches, which leads directly to the Goddess. There, Pauline and Stefanie make an offering to the Great Mother, thereby paying her homage.
Pauline is then introduced to the female rites and customs and initiated into the secrets of womanhood. In this way, she comes to understand her future rights and responsibilities within the family community.
After the ceremony, our herbalists chat with the cheerful group. As today is all about youthful beauty and vitality, the magical plants from the local countryside attract keen interest. The girls from Eva’s Herb World also hand out some mysterious herbal essences.
As the new guardian of the hearth fire, Pauline has already lit the flames during the ceremony. For the torch dance that follows later, we can light our torches in the blazing fire. To atmospheric music, we light up the evening sky and continue to celebrate cheerfully into the darkness.
Dear Pauline – we would like to thank you and your whole family once again for a wonderful day. It was lovely to see you all again and to organise your youth initiation for you. We wish you all the best for your future. May the Great Mother, who is the eldest and wisest, accompany you on all your paths and always protect you.
