Our 82nd wedding leads us across the wintry Baltic Sea to Denmark. On the island of Møn we find ourselves together in order to contract the bond of marriage for Ole and Frida. The two of them have chosen a very special place for their secret ceremony and thus asked us not to publish
any pictures thereof. Certainly we respect that wish.
Bride and groom show up in festive medieval clothes, accompanied just by two witnesses, exactly at noon. A small footpath (from Stege up to the festival place) lies behind them.
At the place of their ancestors, Frida and Ole ask the forefathers for permission for their bond of matrimony. While their wish is being granted, the priestess binds the two of them together (according to medieval custom) with a ribbon around their hands (handfasting).
Afterwards it goes back to the small town of Stege. A wedding celebration in mediaeval style takes place here with family members and
few acquaintances. We from Eheleite take a leave after a little while and return back to Germany by ferry in the next few hours.
Dear bridal couple: We wish you all the best again on this way, too, and may this
day be treasured in your memories for a lifetime.
