Friday the 13th – a perfect day to marry! In many cultures the weekday Friday goes back to the goddess of love. This is the name of the Friday in Romanesque regions – named after the goddess of love Venus – e. g. Vendredi (France), Viernes (Spain) or Venerdi (Italy). How could it be different there with us Germans? Here, too, the goddess of love Freyja is worshiped on this day. Therefore it is something very special to promise eternal love on a Friday.
And of course, our bridal couple has picked today’s Friday to do just that. In the circle of the family, the civil wedding of Natascha and Stefan takes place at high noon. Festively it goes on afterwards. Of course, on the estate of the Germanic Longhouse of Krügersdorf, we will also escort the newlyweds to marriage according to the pagan tradition.
The bridal couple and their guests eagerly listen to the declaimed legends and ancient myths. Subsequently Natascha and Stefan enter the bridal temple, in which they dearly give themselves their very personal marriage vows. Once also the gods as well as storm, wind and rain give their consent to the marriage, the priests connect the bridal couple with a specially crafted ribbon. From now on, the two are bound together for all time, forever and ever.
After the ceremony, the wedding party strengthens over coffee and cake, before swinging its legs with medieval sounds. The brisk dances bring a lot of fun thereby, and there is much laughter and trying things out.
At the evening hour further highlights follow. On a nearby ground, a flame celebration and two sword dedications take place. Dear Natascha, dear Stefan, the eventful and romantic hours are slowly coming to an end. We are glad that we were allowed to spend your big day with you. We wish you all the best for your shared future and an always loving togetherness!
