Carmen and Mats have already been married by the registrar for a year. However, they would like to celebrate their marital bliss in a very special way with their family and friends. And so they remember the wedding of Mats’ brother in June 2015, when we married Moritz and Viki in a romantic ceremony on the Island of Lindwerder.
It is a great compliment and recognition for us that Carmen and Mats also want to celebrate their marriage ceremony with us. For this we will meet them in the Germanic Longhouse at Krügersdorf.
In the early afternoon the pagan marriage ceremony of the lovers takes place. During the ceremony, Carmen and Mats purify themselves of all mutual prejudices and all things that cling to them from the past. In doing so, they voluntarily sever old ties and then ignite the common flame of love.
Their mutual marriage vows are immediately confirmed with joy by the witnesses Josefine and Moritz. As an outward sign of their union, Carmen and Mats wear their wedding rings from then on. Even Thor, the god of thunder, loudly approves of the marriage.
After the ceremony, a festive wedding feast is held for the wedding party. Later, our medieval dances provide atmosphere and musical entertainment. After dark, a mystical torch dance brings this great day to a close. The moody music creates a wonderful atmosphere that instantly captivates everyone present.
Dear Carmen, dear Mats: It was a wonderful day with you and we enjoyed it very much. We wish you all the best for your future together and of course the blessing of the old gods!
