So far, spring has truly not spoiled us with warmth and sunshine. Instead, it has been frosty cold or raining cats and dogs. But now, at last, nature is turning a soft green and the golden spring sun is beaming down on us from the blue sky. Birds are chirping their songs in the young leaves of the trees.

It is the beginning of March – Mrs. Earth is still wrapped in her frosty white robe. The cold wind blows across the wide fields and flat meadows of Brandenburg.

We are happy to be guests in Upper Lusatia. Here, where the Spree rises from the rocky earth in three springs, we are allowed to conduct the naming ceremony for Frieda Johanna in the morning.
