In the early evening we find ourselves together to celebrate a secret marriage with handfasting for Doreen and André. The two of them have traveled
from Wilthen to Gnandstein Castle to mutually promise their marriage here. It is midsummer time, the grass stands high and all around the trees bloom and florish. We look a happily married couple into the eyes and accompany them on their most beautiful path in life.
For the 33 of us a long day with three ceremonies (name-consecration for Vanessa, wedding Gerda and Thomas and secret marriage Doreen and André) ends. The weekend of the summer solstice is a much sight-for date. For us, the three ceremonies at wonderful Gnandstein Castle were great fun. We are also pleased that we have danced some brisk medieval dances with Gerda, Thomas and their guests on the castle’s floor.
