When we have connected our friends Katja and Sören at a secret marriage on the island of Sardinia last September, we had no idea yet that the celebrations would last a whole year. The secret marriage at a holy place, that was the heartfelt wish of the two of them. With a spiritual marriage at the Temple of Domu de Orxia near Esterzili this wish had come true.
After we brought our little summer break behind us and have made a good recovery, we now were full of pleasant anticipation for the next wedding ceremony. For this we met up with Sarah and Esa at the four famous stone circles near Güstrow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania).
At quite stormy weather 73 guests and 25 of us met in Southern Lower Saxony. At Katlenburg Castle, located between Göttingen and Northeim, Vanessa and Frank swore eternal loyalty.
At a name-consecration (also called pagan baptism) the person to be baptized is being brought into contact with all four elements. So it is not only the cleansing water being used, but the gifts and qualities of earth, air and fire are also being bestowed on the young person.
Right beside the River Ilmenau we wedded Imke-Aïta and Jan. The young bridal couple from Lüneburg promised on the banks of the river everlasting love and life-long loyalty. At best wedding weather not only the blue sky shined and the bride, but also the 43 guests.
