This weekend, we performed the annulment of a marriage covenant in stormy autumn weather. In this short ceremony, the bond between the marriage partners is separated consciously and with the explicit consent of both partners. The defusion of a marriage companionship is an important step, when a couple no longer feels attracted to each other and their common life ends. After the separation ceremony, husband and wife can enter into new connections free and unburdened.

Germanic Wedding at the Funkenburg on 23 September 2017
The Funkenburg Westgreußen is the reconstruction of a Germanic settlement from the 2nd century before time to the 1st century after time. It is situated in the middle of the beautiful Northern Thuringian countryside, where South Harz and Thuringia meet. Doreen and Wolfgang have chosen the appealing and authentic open air museum, in which the daily life of the iron age is being visualised, as the event location for their pagan marriage and wedding celebration.
