Miriam has decided to celebrate her 14th birthday with us in the traditional way. In the old-school ceremony of the rebirth festival, the birthday
child first lays aside its legacy burdens, such as unfavourable characteristics and inauspicious connections. Thereafter, a symbolic
rebirth takes place, which equates to a new beginning.
We celebrate Medieval Wedding, Handfasting and Marriage in the Year 2017
As we start our marriage year in February, we are guests for the name consecration of little Katharina Leonida and her parents Imke-Aïta und Jan near Bremen. In the course of the year, our route will take us to Thuringia, the Swabian Jura, the Hegau and on 21.12 back to the Spree. In the venerable capital, the circle and the pagan marriage year 2017 conclude.

Franziska and Christopher celebrate their pagan marriage on the day of the winter solstice, the shortest day and the longest night of the year. The guests arrive in the afternoon and are welcomed by the groom. Together, the wedding party takes itself to the ceremony place.
Annulment of a Marriage-Tie on 16 December 2017 near Berlin
This weekend, we performed the annulment of a marriage covenant in stormy autumn weather. In this short ceremony, the bond between the marriage partners is separated consciously and with the explicit consent of both partners. The defusion of a marriage companionship is an important step, when a couple no longer feels attracted to each other and their common life ends. After the separation ceremony, husband and wife can enter into new connections free and unburdened.
