Pagan Name-Consecration on 09 May 2014 in St. Gallen

For the pagan birth initiation of little Alexander Kilian we gathered with his parents and family on Friday afternoon in Schönholzerswilen (next to St. Gallen). Just as the four elements form all things in this world, they also mould the body of the new earth-dweller Alexander.

During the ceremony the 14 guests curiously listened to the explanations about the name meaning and the interaction of the elements. Father Andreas presented a talisman to his son as a special gift for his further journey through life. Godi (godmother) Corinna pledged she will always lend Alexander her support, provided that he would need her in his life someday. In conclusion to the act of consecration, the name rune of the baptizand was ignited and all guests assembled underneath the burning symbol for a collective picture.
