The 21st of June is a special day. Because today is the summer solstice. Today Juliane and Sebastian got married. Today there FINALLY was A MARRIAGE AGAIN in one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. But we want to tell one after the other.
In the very south of Brandenburg we find a very magical place at the so-called “Rocks of Glass”. Embedded in mother nature – optically perfect for a mystical wedding ceremony.
Hohenbocka is a municipality in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district, in the very south of the state of Brandenburg and part of the Ruhland department. A two-hour drive from Berlin – it’s worth it, we can tell you!
After a romantic carriage ride, the beaming bride and groom walk through the arc of fire and the ceremony begins. Is that a nice ritual place! And the Irminsul stands at the top of the rock. An unforgettable sight!
The present guests rise from their seats and therewith show Juliane and Sebastian their respect and appreciation. Afterwards, everyone listens to the myths we present from days long past: Æsir hail and Vanir luck return to the present day! We hear from Odin and Gullveig, from the Norns and from the people of that time. The old time, a completely different world, is emerging again before our eyes today.
Touchingly, Juliane and Sebastian promise eternal loyalty and companionship in the bridal temple. Everyone feels the deep emotion of the two, which is musically accompanied by us. During the subsequent handfasting, the threads of life of the two will now be interwoven for eternal time.
The newly formed covenant is loudly expressed by the common consent of all those present. The echo of the forest resounds over the small spot and is stored in this place forever.
Dear Juliane and dear Sebastian, we thank you for allowing us to spend this special day with you. Thank you so much for this beautiful place! This day was something very special for us too and it was burned deeply into our memories. May the blessings of our gods accompany you on all your journeys!
